PENGARUH MOTIVASI INTRINSIK DAN DISIPLIN BELAJAR TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA PADA SMA NEGERI 5 HALMAHERA SELATAN PROVINSI MALUKU UTARA

Abstrak

The learning achievement is an important indicator to measure the success of the learning process. Motivation is an effort that encourages a person to do something or the driving power of the subjects to perform an act within a goal. Motivation determines the level of success or failure of the learning activities of students, learning motivation is essentially learning appropriate to the needs, drives, motives, interests that exist on students. Success or failure in generating and utilizing motivation in the learning process associated with development efforts classroom discipline. The learning achievement is not only influenced by motivation but is also influenced by the discipline .Issues examined in this study were: (1) Is the in- trinsic motivation and discipline of study influence the learning achievement at SMA Negeri 5 Halmahera Selatan Provinsi Maluku Utara? And (2) whether the most influential factor on the learning achievement at SMA Negeri 5 Halmahera Selatan Provinsi Maluku Utara?. The population used in this study were all students of SMA Negeri 5 Halmahera Selatan Provinsi Maluku Utara totaling 75 students. Because the number of students is less than 100, then all students studied, therefore this research was population research. The variables in this study consisted of learning motivation and discipline of study as independent variables and learning achievement as the dependent variable. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis using descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis percentage. Regression analysis showed that motivation to learn an effect on student achievement SMA Negeri 5 Halmahera Selatan Prpvinsi Maliku Utara.
